ARKADIA SHOPPING MALL

The first shopping centres in Poland were built in the 1990s. Their owners are currently planning to modernise or extend them. Managing such an investment and construction site may present some difficulties related to the fact that the site has to operate during the day; therefore, the works need to be carried out at night. Consequently, the organisation of the construction site and the method statement must take these requirements into account.

OJL Group, in collaboration with SUD Architectural Studio, participated in the extension of the Arkadia shopping mall in Warsaw. The operation was carried out in a functioning shopping centre and involved refurbishment of the existing 6,000 sq. m food court and the reconstruction of the existing sanitary complex. The works lasted 12 months and were completed in September 2014.
